Yaxley Festival is over again for another year, the rubbish cleared, the field returned to its normal state and now it’s time to say our thank yous.

Firstly, thanks to all our amazing volunteers, those who have worked tirelessly all year as committee members and to those who volunteered over the Festival week for the build days, the event, or the break down (in more ways than one!) after the event.

Thank you to Stewart Howe, who dreamed up the event back in 2012 and is still heavily involved.

Thanks to the Young Technicians who worked all weekend over the two stages, garnering plaudits from the professional stage crew as well as the bands. These 11-18-year olds are learning stage management, lighting and sound via a scheme run by Crystal Clear Productions. If you need something sorting they were the guys to ask.

Thanks to Cromwell Vets and St Ives Dog Club for organising the dog show, it was brilliant

Thanks to Yaxley Yaks Touch Rugby who provided sporting opportunities on the Astro pitch all weekend

Thanks to our sponsors – some in cash, some in kind, some both.

Thanks to Yaxley Scouts & Guides for the wonderful vintage event held at their premises on Main Street, a great addition to the attractions on offer

Thanks to CCAN for organising the historical display in the Austin Hall

Thanks to the 501st Legion and The Rebel Alliance for their attendance and helping us with our opening ceremony.

Thanks to Dave and the team from Sawtry Marquees, who managed to get a marquee village put up in record time, even when we made them move the largest one not once but twice before it was completed.

Thanks to all our other suppliers who on many occasions have helped us out beyond what we had ordered

Thanks to Yaxley Parish Council for the use of their facilities for the weekend and for their sponsorship.

Thanks to Three Horseshoes for allowing the use of their event field for parade formation and car parking.
