We had a brilliant start to the term with our Ofsted letter being officially published. Although we knew the outcome the same day, we were not permitted to share the result until the letter had been quality assured by Ofsted. We were all delighted with the letter which confirms that Yaxley Infant School continues to be a ‘good’ school. The Inspector who visited for the day commented on many positive things. Here are some of the highlights:
- Pupils at Yaxley Infant school are impeccably well behaved.
- They communicate well with each other and are mindful of the importance of kindness and good manners.
- Pupils are eager to learn and are supportive of each other in lessons.
The letter also commented on parent’s views. One parent wrote: ‘the school offers a nurturing
and stimulating environment for children.’……. (thank you). The Inspector went on to describe the role our fantastic governors play in the running of the school. She wrote: ‘Governance at Yaxley Infant School is strong. They are regular visitors to your school. Their visits link clearly to the priorities.’
If your child is due to start school in 2018 and you would like to have a tour of the school please call the office (01733) 240918 or email firstname.lastname@example.org We look forward to meeting you.
We as a school are particularly proud of the comment relating to safeguarding as it reflects the importance we place on keeping children safe. It noted: ‘Leaders including governors, are meticulous and methodical in their unstinting focus on safeguarding.’
The process was rigorous and very rewarding. Being able to share our wonderful school and receive such positive affirmation of our hard work, commitment, and your support. We have also received letters of congratulations from the Local Authority and the PSHE service to further our recognition. Of course, there are always development points and we will be working on them in the coming year.
A full copy of the letter can be found on our website www.schoolswire.org/public/infant566.html
We are also thrilled with the news that our school is now full for the September intake 2017 and look forward to inspiring 60 new pupils to achieve their very best.
